How Many Chapters are There?

A Total of 22 Chapters on Launch

Doom: the Dark Ages will launch with a total of 22 chapters. This uncovers the events of the Slayer's life as a slave of the Maykrs, and eventually as the hero of Argent D'nur.

Additional Chapters When DLC Releases

With the announcement of a campaign DLC, more chapters are going to be added to the game in the near future. We can expect to get 3 or more additional levels if the upcoming DLC is on par with the updates from previous franchise entries.

Set Before the Events of Doom (2016)

The story of Doom: The Dark Ages follows the story of the Doom Slayer in the alien planet of Argent D'nur. The role of the Slayer is to obey the commands of the Maykrs and help the citizens of the planet combat the demonic incursion led by Prince Ahzrak.

The goal of Prinze Ahzrak is to gain power through the artifact called the Heart of Argent. Throughout the game the Doom Slayer breaks free from the control of the Maykrs but still decides to help King Novik and the citizens of Argent D'nur by putting an end to Prince Ahzrak.
