pain in cnre and a little to the right. no nausea or vomiting some flatulace burping and bloating during pain . no heartburn, constipation ,have loose stools as i am on a diet have been eating a lot of fruit and veg plus protien ie chicken turkey.i am over weight 5ft 4in and 13 s 10lbs.non smoker drink wine 1 or 2 glasses in the month.no pain on urinatin no shortnes of breath. awaiting ultra sound . going hrough menapose. on fluoxatine depression. as on orlast to loose wieght.have had 3 boats of severe pain in 3 wks had o go to hospital during night got tramadol im helped . u,s and e,s ok except urea up lft, s and amylase ok plus full blood count ok.some mid sternum terderness and when walking or moing mid sternum stomach regin tenderness

Well as you describe there may be following possibilities in your case-
Gall stone
Gastritis
Kidney stone /sludge formation
As such normal Blood urea levels ranges from 7 to 20 mg/dl.
So your Blood urea is in normal range.
However the proper diagnosis may be determined with Whole abdomen Ultrasound in your case.
I suggest you to consult your doctor for further evaluation and management .

they told me my urea was high. also if my lft,s were ok could it still be gallstones

Well there may be some confusion regarding units of Serum Urea.
If it is mg/dl then normal range of Serum urea is 7 to 20 mg/dl. So your results are normal.
If it is mmol/L then normal range of Serum urea is 2.8-7.2 mmol/L so your Urea is high .
Please check it .
High serum urea could be due to either increased level of protein being metabolized or due to a decrease in the body's ability to filter it out related to kidney disease.
Even eating high protein diet as in your case can be a contributing factor in elevating Serum urea level as well.
So you may require the assessment of your kidney by doing the repeat blood test and sonography of kidney to rule out any abnormality.
Apart from this in uncomplicated acute cholecystitis(Inflammation of gall bladder with or without gall stone ), liver function tests are usually normal however sometimes only slightly elevated.
